Constructed for Beaver Bridges, the bridge now provides a new pedestrian access route to the school; creating a much improved route for young children to use.
Tight deadlines made this a particularly challenging project for VolkerBrooks however the team were able to design and fabricate the bridge in just four weeks. Manufactured as a complete structure, the bridges top and bottom booms were constructed out of 150x150x8mm box sections.100x100x8mm box sections were also used for diagonal bracing and to add further structural strength.
Ian White, general manager, said: “This project adds to our successful project portfolio of work for Beaver Bridges. Although we had challenging timescales, we were able to complete this project and see the bridge installed in time for the new school term.”
